How Omnicharge Helped a Leading Medical Manufacturer Untether Its Training Spaces
Introduction
Midmark Corporation has been designing and manufacturing medical, dental, and animal health products from its home base in Versailles, Ohio, for decades.
From examination tables and dental chairs to veterinary cages and anesthesia equipment, Midmark's products are found in clinical settings across the country - built to support the people who care for patients of every kind.
As the company continues to grow, so does its footprint. A recently opened Cincinnati location brought 40 employees into a brand-new facility - and with it, a new kind of challenge: how do you design a workspace that's truly flexible when the furniture needs to move but the power can't?
Jennifer Brickler, Midmark's Workplace Strategist and Facilities Planner, found the answer in Omnicharge.
The Challenge
When Midmark's Cincinnati team moved into their new space, one room in particular demanded something different: a multipurpose training room designed to serve as a classroom, a collaboration hub, and a clinical case study environment - sometimes all in the same week.
The room was built with a floor core for power access. But with desks on wheels and a deliberate decision to avoid a fixed conference table, tying the layout to a floor port wasn't a real option.
Traditional solutions - wall outlets, floor coring, hardwired furniture - would have defeated the entire purpose of the room. Midmark needed power that moved with the space, not power that defined it.

Midmark was introduced to Omnicharge through their furniture supplier, Innovative Office Solutions, who recommended the product as part of the room design process. The fit was immediately clear.
"We really didn't do a lot of digging," Jennifer noted. "They did a lot of the legwork for us, and we wholeheartedly trusted them."
The result: a full Omnicharge Power Cart deployment, housing two Power Station 40+ units - 12 individual charging banks in total - available to anyone in the room, wherever the tables happen to be that day.
For an 11-person multipurpose space supporting up to 10-15 users at a time, it was exactly the kind of flexible, cable-free setup the room was designed around.
The Results
The Cincinnati training room is now up and running, and the response has been positive. Smaller laptops charge without issue, and the freedom to reconfigure the room on a day-to-day basis - without managing a tangle of cords or planning around floor ports - has made the space genuinely more versatile.

Looking Ahead:
Expanding to Versailles - and Powering Up
With the Cincinnati deployment proving out the concept, Midmark is already exploring Omnicharge for additional locations.
The company's headquarters in Versailles, Ohio, is under consideration for a similar deployment in the HR department - where training sessions are a regular part of operations and the same need for flexible, cord-free power applies.
That expansion also opens the door to addressing a gap identified in Cincinnati: the room sits adjacent to Midmark's tech center, and the engineers who share the space use high-powered Lenovo T14 laptops that exceed the output range of the Power Station 40+.
Omni Power Station 80C+
For those use cases, Midmark is evaluating the Omnicharge Power Station 80C+ - a next-generation unit with double the battery capacity of the 40+ and the ability to deliver up to 250 watts of AC output when paired with the Omnicharge PowerBase.

As Jennifer put it, "I wish we would have known about the 80s when we placed our order. But it just keeps us coming back."
