Globetrotter, explorer, and photographer, George Nolan has traversed over 32 countries, each landscape immortalized through his keen eye for framing and his signature earthy hues that clients have come to adore. Born amidst the vast landscapes of Botswana and spending a significant part of his childhood in Zimbabwe, George developed a fascination for capturing wildlife. This early passion was ignited during fishing expeditions with his stepdad, where the abundant wildlife became his muse. The family's subsequent move to the UK further broadened his horizons and nurtured his innate love for nature and exploration.

From Phones to Pro Cameras

The pivotal moment in George's journey as a photographer came during a road trip in Italy in 2016. Surrounded by the picturesque landscapes and with his wife as an avid travel companion, George realized the limitations of his phone camera. Desiring to capture the vastness and the intricate details of the views, he invested in his first digital camera: a Canon 550D.

This investment was more than just equipment; it was a gateway into the world of professional photography. Every shot and every expedition honed his skills. Yet, understanding the intricate dance between art and business, he turned to Jord Hammond for guidance on branding and client management. With a refined skill set and business savvy, George swiftly made an indelible mark in travel photography.

George's impeccable shots owe their brilliance to a trio of essentials: his Canon 80D, a versatile wide-angle lens, and the Omnicharge 20+. "I’m useless without them," George admits. Dolomites, Italy: A place that's popular for a reason. "I’ve never captured so many great shots in such a short space of time," George shares. Whether draped in summer's embrace or winter's frost, the Dolomites' mountain peaks never fail to amaze.

Switzerland: With its majestic mountains and serene lakes, Switzerland is an adventurer's dream. George holds the Jungfrau area in high regard, emphasizing its scenic beauty.

Algarve, Portugal: Described by George as having "some of the best seascapes I’ve ever seen," the Algarve region is a haven for photographers. The mesmerizing seashores and arresting rock formations make it a visual treat.

Every artist faces unique challenges, and for George, maintaining drone battery life tops the list. "The batteries have a short fly time," George laments. This limitation often compresses his work time, amplifying the pressure to seize every picture-perfect moment.

A particularly intense encounter in Northern Spain attests to this challenge. A crosswind drained his drone's battery, causing it to land precariously in remote terrain.
